1. června se tradičně slaví Mezinárodní den dětí. Poprvé se slavil v roce 1950. Má upozornit světovou veřejnost na práva a potřeby dětí. Ten den se pro děti připravují různé společenské a sportovní akce a děti můžou dostat malé dárky.
